moon, hiding behind

date taken: 2006/01/11 00:40:52 (eastern time)

moon hiding behind the branches of a tree at georgia tech campus. i clicked a lot of pictures of the moon, but this is probably the best. i know it is hard to capture the shining white circle, but my tries have finally paid off, i guess. i love how the yellow leaves are shining, but overall i like the complete picture - leaves, branches, and the moon surrounded by its bluish-white light.

illuminating

camera used: canon powershot sd 200
focal length: 14mm
exposure: 1.0s
aperture: f/24.5

took this picture when i was taking a stroll through the georgia tech campus. the walk between the student center and the library is very soothing. during the night it looks very beautiful with the lamps on the road and the tall downtown buildings illuminating the campus with their presence and lights. the building in the background is the bank of america (boa) building. it is not completely owned by boa but is still known by that name.
